Best wireless headphones for the car ever!

Last year my mother-in-law bought my children headphones for the car by, “Kidz Gear”. We take long trips to the beach every weekend, and tend to watch a movie on the long drive.

Our truck comes with headphones which can be heavy for the kids, and these are lightweight, cordless, and are extra wide, to fit my daughter’s hair low, lol!

Amazon sells them, for $25.99 and remember that they are wireless, for they have one with a wire (don’t like those for children can chew on them, and one less thing to untangle right? LOL)

Must haves in your car!

A friend of mine eight year ago, a mother of three taught me the best advice of all… “always be prepared,”.

That has been my mantra for seven and a half years, especially in our truck!

I always have snacks & water in the car for those just in case moments. My husband didn’t understand, until one night it took me four hours to get home with my two children, due to a car accident on the Turnpike. Thank God I had those items in the car, for you never know what will arise.

Another thing I keep in the car is a backpack with a change of clothes for both children (which I change seasonally), including pajamas, toiletries, wipes, garbage bags (for if your child gets carsick or has an accident it is a lifesaver!)

Lastly, I always keep a ziplock of hand wipes, coloring books, markers and crayons, books, stickers, magnetic puzzles, playdough, and other small things. Whether we are going to a restaurant, or the kids need something to do on a long car ride minus a movie… It is the best trick of all.

Hope you enjoy these tips!

Great travel games!

Now that summer is here and the kids will be off there are a few travel games I found!

Melissa & Doug have a great games like, “Flip to win Hangman, Flip to win memory game (my 3-year-old loves this, as does my seven-year old!) Travel Bingo, Bear Hunt, & USA Licence Plate game”.

It gives the kids something to do, especially sitting in traffic, on a plane, or while in a restaurant… love them all!

Cute travel puzzles, or a great party favor!

I was in a bookstore and stumbled upon these adorable travel puzzles for ages 5 & up by, “Crocodile Creek”.  They come in themes like USA, Space, Dinosaurs, Robot, Dance,  Horse, Jungle, & Dragon.  The price ranges from $5-$7 per pouch, and is great to take to Grandmas house, or just to do at home.

A teacher tip, I always have my children do small puzzles on a cookie tray, so the pieces stay contained, which prevents the puzzle from breaking apart.

Go to to order, or Google it for various pricing.
